How to make Easy Sausage, Apple & Gouda Breakfast Pizza Recipe | Morning Pizza Delight

Start your morning right with this Easy Sausage, Apple & Gouda Breakfast Pizza! In just 30 minutes you’ll have a golden-crisp crust loaded with savory breakfast sausage, tart Granny Smith apples, and melty Gouda cheese. Perfect for brunch, family gatherings, or to meal-prep and reheat all week.

Ingredients:

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

8 oz Italian breakfast sausage, cooked & crumbled

1 medium Granny Smith apple, cored & thinly sliced

1½ cups shredded Gouda cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or ½ tsp dried)

½ tsp kosher salt

½ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Optional: 2 large eggs, cracked

Cooking Directions:

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it inside to heat.

Roll Out Dough: Lightly flour your work surface and roll dough to ¼″ thickness. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel.

Season Crust: Brush with 2 tablespoons olive oil, then sprinkle salt, pepper, and thyme evenly.

Add Toppings:

Scatter the cooked, crumbled sausage.

Arrange apple slices in a single layer.

Top with shredded Gouda.

Optional Eggs: Make 2 small wells and crack an egg into each pizza for a runny yolk finish.

Bake: Slide onto the hot stone or place the baking sheet in oven. Bake for 10–12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.

Rest & Garnish: Remove, let rest 2 minutes, then sprinkle extra thyme.

Slice & Serve: Cut into wedges and enjoy immediately!
